Obituary for Donald G. Conklin
Donald G. Conklin, 83, of Brodheadsville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 26, surrounded by his family.
He was the loving husband of Arlene M. "Hez" (Serfass) Conklin. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in February.
Born in Landing, NJ, he was the son of the late Matthew Conklin and the late Mary (Heiney) Conklin.
Donald was the owner/operator of Conklin Construction for over fifty years. He was also an Air Force Veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kevin Conklin and his wife Lisa; a daughter, Roxann Nicholas and her husband Todd; a brother, C. Allen Conklin; two sisters, Hazel Donchez and Florence Frantz; a brother-in-law, Walter "Bud" Serfass; two sister-in-laws, Jean Haydt and Dolores Barthold; three grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, Eric; and five great grandchildren, Benny, Luke, Jackson, Emma, and Lincoln.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM from the Zion United Lutheran Church, Brodheadsville. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ann Melot officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the local home hospice care organizations.
