Obituary for Dorothy Virginia Frable (Berger)

Dorothy Virginia Frable, 93, of Palmerton, passed away Thursday, April 11, at Easton Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was the loving wife of the late Ervin C. Frable.

Born in Mauch Chunk, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Berger and the late Anna (Zacharias) Learn.

Dorothy was a talented seamstress at various places for over fifty years before retiring in 2019. She loved the pianist Liberace and attended many of his concerts with her best-friend Marie Frable throughout the years. Most of all, she was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

She is survived by a son, Douglas Goucher and his wife Ethel; two daughters, Gloria Jean Strohl and her husband Richard Sr., Barbara Wannamaker; a sister, Shirley Sottolano; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Melinda Lee Wrigley, and two great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 16, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Felker officiating. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
