Earl E. Kresge Jr., 81, of Saylorsburg, passed away Sunday, July 7 in Brookmont Healthcare Center, Effort.
He was the loving son of the late Earl E. Kresge Sr. and the late Josephine A. (Weiss) Kresge.
Earl was a truck driver for over fifty years. He loved traveling across the country, and his true gift was having the natural talent to navigate anywhere throughout the country. He had a compass in his head and always knew where he was going. He had a love cars, trucks, and tractors. He was very social, and during retirement he would travel to every diner in the county to visit friends. Most of all, he was the kind of man who would do anything for anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.
He is survived by a daughter, Wendy Jones and her husband Rich of Saylorsburg; three sisters, Joan Propst of of Bartonsville, Elaine Zimmermann of Zanesville, OH, Patsy Reinheimer of Stroudsburg; two brothers, Ronald Kresge and his wife Florence of Duryea, Donald Kresge of Stroudsburg; three grandchildren, Josh Jones, Amanda Bleam, Chelsi Jones; and three great grandchildren, Brielle Bleam, Rylan Bleam, and Josie Jones.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 10 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Felker officiating. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
