Obituary for Edward Daniel Hall Sr.

Edward Daniel Hall Sr., 83, of Long Pond, passed away on Monday, September 12 in his home.

He was the husband of Donnalee (Rau) Hall. They had observed their 58th wedding anniversary in June.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Edward and Ida (Luck) Hall.

A graduate of Frankford High School in Philadelphia, Edward worked as a chemical blender for National Lead, Dutchboy Paints and then Cooks Inc. in Philadelphia for over forty years, retiring in 1995. He also had a CDL license.

Edward was a US Navy veteran, serving on the USS Intrepid Aircraft Carrier.

He was of the Methodist faith.

Edward was a devoted husband, father and grandpop. He was a man of tremendous fortitude and integrity. Edward was an avid outdoorsman with an incredible passion for horseback riding, deer hunting and fishing. He also loved training dogs for upland bird hunting, with English Setters being his most beloved breed. Edward was also an accomplished dart shooter in both English and American darts, winning numerous Philadelphia Pro League dart championships in the 1970's.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Edward Daniel Hall Jr. of Quakertown, Dennis Michael Hall of Long Pond and Peter Jason Hall of Fleetwood; a brother Thomas in PA; a sister, Cassie in NJ and three grandchildren, Aidan Michael Hall of Fleetwood, Jessicalee Hall of Quakertown and Aimee Scavello of Macungie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ida.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
