Obituary for Elba Emmanuelli (Martinez)
Elba Emmanuelli, 95, of Stroudsburg, passed away Monday, April 17, at home.
Born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, she was the loving daughter of the late Justo Martinez and the late Emerita (Correa).
Elba graduated from Columbia University. She then went on to work as an elementary school teacher in New York City for over thirty years before retiring in 1995. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Elba will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.
She is survived by a son, John Emmanuelli and his wife Dolly of Saylorsburg; three daughters, Enid Turchioe and her husband Mario of Brooklyn, NY, Vilna Castro and her husband Jose of NJ, Marilyn Emmanuelli of FL; nine grandchildren, Allyson, Elise, Desiree, Marc, Zinna, Koreen, Karen, Erika, Hector; and many great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Aura Martinez, and a brother, Luis Martinez.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville. The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, is in charge of the arrangements.
