Obituary for Ellis R. Weiss Jr.
Ellis R. Weiss Jr., 81, of Saylorsburg, passed away Sunday, June 25, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono.
He was the loving husband of Judith A. (Weiser) Weiss. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in October of last year.
Born in Effort, he was the son of the late Ellis R. Weiss Sr. and the late Florence (Schleicher) Weiss.
Ellis was a carpenter for most of his life. He loved hunting and the outdoors, and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. Most of all, he was the loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
In addition to his wife Judith, he is survived by a son, Ellis R. Weiss III and his wife Donna; a daughter, April Baum and her husband Kelly; two sisters, Debra Frantz and her husband David, Joan Weiss; four grandchildren, Ezekiel Baum and his wife Autumn, Samantha Hopkins and her husband Aaron, Olivia Weiss and her significant other James Vadala, Patrick Weiss and his wife Kelly; three great grandchildren, Aayla Baum, Krillin Baum, and Margo Weiss. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Marge Schaffer, Amanda Heller, and a brother, Roland Weiss.
Memorial services will be scheduled on a later date at the convenience of the family, with time and date for the service to be updated in the near future.
