Elsie was a graduate of Fanwood-Scotch Plains High School. She was a former secretary for the Somerset/Hunterdon Women's Bowling Association. She was also a former member of the Bound Brook Mixed Bowling League for over forty years, and eventually met her husband Robert during her time with the league. Elsie was also very proud to participate as a poll worker for the Somerset County Board of Election.
