Obituary for Emma "Sissy" Kemmerer

Emma "Sissy" Kemmerer, 54, of East Stroudsburg, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Monday, December 26, in St. Luke's Hospital-Bartonsville.

She was the loving companion of Edward Bobbin for 35 years..

Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Kemmerer and the late Emma Jane (Keiper) Kemmerer.

Emma was a fighter her whole life, She may have been tiny but she was tough. She was an avid animal lover of all kinds, even having pet wolves for some time. Most of all, she was a loving and caring mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

In addition to her companion Edward, she is survived by a son, Dylan Kemmerer; four brothers, Kevin Kemmerer, Roger Kemmerer, Eugene Kemmerer Jr., Todd Kemmerer; a sister, Denise Kalinich; her good friend Mike Darrell; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Memorial services will follow at 7:30 PM with Rev. David Felker officiating.
