Obituary for Francesco Lanni
Francesco Lanni, 94, of Brodheadsville, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest.
He was the loving husband of Vittoria Lanni.
Born in Torino, Italy, he was the son of the late Michele Lanni and the late Domenica (Nicoletti) Lanni.
As an aerospace machinist, Francesco worked in aviation and loved trains and planes. He enjoyed making pasta, bicycling and playing UNO and other games with his family. He also loved his cats and dogs. Most of all, Francesco was a family man and was devoted to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were his world and he put great value into honesty, respect and a good work ethic which he instilled in his family. He also was known to quote "Be good kids and bring honor to your family." He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Vittoria, Francesco is survived by his daughters: Rosamaria Mollica and her husband, Dennis Goodenough of Effort; Loretta Lanni of Brodheadsville; and Domenica Huesca of Effort; grandchildren: Isabella Rivera and her husband, David Rivera, Everardo Huesca and his wife, Megan Masterson, Annamaria Mollica, Joseph Mollica, Michael Mollica, and Angelina Mollica; great grandchildren: Carlos Rivera, Lucas Huesca, and Shea Huesca. In addition to his parents, Francesco was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jorge Huesca.
A viewing will be held on January 24, 2024 from 9-10:45 A.M. at the William H. Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Rt. 209, Brodheadsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be served at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Cemetery in Brodheadsville.
