Obituary for Francis M. "Frank" Romeo

Francis M. "Frank" Romeo, 69, of Saylorsburg, passed away Thursday, August 22 in St. Luke's Hospital- Monroe Campus.

He was the loving husband of Fanest H. "Bunny" (McBride) Romeo. They celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary in August.

Born in Hackensack, NJ, he was the son of the late Louis Romeo and the late Ida (Duda) Romeo.

Frank graduated from Irvington Technical Institute in 1968. He was a veteran and was part of the US Air Force Reserves as an aircraft mechanic.

Frank worked as an automobile mechanic and service manager for many years. He began working for Central Cadillac as an automobile mechanic and shop foreman in Newark, NJ. He then worked for Lex Depp/ LA Depp Cadillac/ Royal Cadillac (3 owners) as a service manager in Florham Park, NJ. Later on, he worked for Fulton Chevrolet & Cadillac as a service manager in Middletown, NY. He finished his career owning and operating The Tobacco Shop in Marshalls Creek from 1996 to 2008. He always enjoyed working with his hands, and most, of all, helping anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Chris Romeo and his companion Amy Lobb of Saylorsburg, Frank Romeo and his wife Kathy of Sicklerville, NJ; a brother, Louis Romeo and his wife Donna of Charleston, SC; two sisters, Laura Vollweiler and her husband Bernie of Saylorsburg, Ann Pfeuffer of Hanover Township; and three grandchildren.

Services will be scheduled on a later date at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
