Obituary for Gladys Ann Brown (Brush)

Gladys Ann Brown, 63, of Stroudsburg, passed away on Friday, May 26, at St Luke's Hospital- Monroe. She was the loving wife of Donald Brown.

Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (O'Hara) Brush.

Gladys loved swimming in her pool, antique shopping, and cooking for her big family. She loved to go to concerts with her husband and enjoyed reading. She was a huge Harry Potter fan and always had the movies on. She was an animal lover and would enjoy watching the deer in her yard or taking care of the stray cats. She also devoted many years to helping special needs children and always made a home for anyone who did not have a place to go for the holidays. Gladys will be greatly missed by many loving friends and family.

In addition to her husband, Gladys is survived by her sons: Donald Brown, Jr. of Stroudsburg and Thomas Brown and his wife, Janene of Stroudsburg; her daughter, Tara Lugo and her husband, Alex of Brooklyn; her granddaughter, Emma Lugo; brothers: John Brush and his wife, Crystal of Mt. Pocono, and Adrian deVisser and his son,Tyler deVisser both of the Catskills, NY; sister, Renee Smith and her husband, Benny of PA. Gladys is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and many many loving friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Rt. 209, Brodheadsville, PA, 18322. A service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Deacon Joe Rodgers officiating.
