Obituary for Gladys Mae Lindenmoyer (Barlieb)

Gladys Mae Lindenmoyer, 92, passed away on Saturday, December 16, at Clover Rest Home, Columbia, NJ.

She was the loving wife of the late Howard Irwin Lindenmoyer. They celebrated close to 50 wonderful years of marriage together.

Born at home in Kunkletown, she was the daughter of the late Herman J. Barlieb and the late Verna V. (Gower) Barlieb.

Gladys was a long-time active member of St. Matthew's UCC in Kunkletown. She worked as a secretary several places for many years. In high school, she was an active member and clarinet player for the band. She was willing to try anything, loved traveling, and always enjoyed the company of others. Most of all, she was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

She is survived by a son, Kevin Lindenmoyer and his wife Janis of Lehighton; a daughter, Debbi Vrabel and her husband John of DE; a brother, Leon Barlieb of Kunkletown; four grandchildren, Jonathan Vrabel and his wife Beth, Timothy Vrabel and his wife Amanda, Erik Lindenmoyer and his wife Amanda, TJ Lindenmoyer and his wife Danielle; eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Keith Lindenmoyer, and a brother, Vernon Barlieb.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Kunkletown. Church services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Michael Coulson officiating. Interment of the cremated remains will follow in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Kunkletown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, 102 Church Road, Kunkletown, PA 18058.
