Obituary for Glenn Peter Signorelli

Glenn P. Signorelli, 89, of Kresgeville, passed away Wednesday, November 17, at home surrounded by family.

He was the loving husband of Helen (Werner) Signorelli. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in October.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony J. Signorelli and the late Margaret (Dalton) Signorelli.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War Veteran.

Glenn graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, NY. He later attended Newark College of Engineering and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then worked as a mechanical and electrical engineer at the U.S. Department of Defense in Eatontown, NJ, for twenty five years before retiring in 1993. Prior to that, he worked at Western Electric in Kearney, NJ. He was a member of the Palmerton Rod & Gun Club, and the AFBA (Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association). Glenn enjoyed motorcycles, built guitars and banjos as a hobby, and was also a talented musician. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Glenn P. Signorelli Jr. and his wife Yvette of FL, James R. Lewis and his wife Tara of SC; two daughters, Linda Lewis of NJ, Deborah Halliday and her husband Ray of PA; a brother, Walter Signorelli and his wife Ann of Yorktown, NY; seven grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patrice Bober, a grandson, Glenn Ranucci, and a brother, Bobby Signorelli.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 22 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, with full military honors following the service. Cremation will follow in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
