Obituary for Gloria J. Buck (Adams)

Gloria J. Buck, 90, passed away on Friday April 15 in Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home in Kunkletown.

Gloria was the loving wife of Delbert S. Buck, who preceded her in death. They were married in 1957 and were married for 58 years.

Born in East Stroudsburg on September 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Susan (Rowe) Adams.

Gloria graduated from East Stroudsburg High School in 1951. She worked at Ronson for nine years and was a garment worker for twenty-four years. She was a member of the ILGWU, now Unite, and a member of Alliance for Retired Americans. She was also a member of Salem UCC in Gilbert.

Gloria enjoyed swimming, feeding the birds and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

She is survived by two daughters, Marion Aaron of Slatington and Deborah Raseley and her husband Jon of Saylorsburg. Other survivors include six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; her son-in-law, Gregory Aaron of Palmerton; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Adams of East Stroudsburg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Marion Perry and by three brothers, Robert Adams, Russel Adams and Donald Adams Kress.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 20 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Schnaars officiating. Burial will follow in Gilbert Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
