Obituary for Harvey A. Gilbert

Harvey A. Gilbert, 96, of Kunkletown, passed away Tuesday, May 7 in Wesley Enhanced Living, Doylestown.

He was the loving husband of the late Alice (Simpson) Gilbert. They celebrated 72 years or marriage together before Alice's passing in 2017.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James Gilbert and the late Helen (Little) Gilbert-Marsh.

Harvey was a self-employed carpenter for most of his life. He enjoyed helping others with their building projects. Along with his wife, he was involved with Music Ministry and traveled to different homes throughout their time together. He was a former member of the Countryside Alliance Church in Brodheadsville, and after began attending Cornerstone Community Church in Kresgeville. He was also a US Coast Guard Veteran during World War II. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.

He is survived by two sons, Bill Gilbert and his wife Carol of Perkasie, Bruce Gilbert and his wife Deborah of Holland; two daughters, Sandra Ringheiser and her husband Paul ok Kunkletown, Janie Cliver and her husband Scott of Edwards, CO; eleven grandchildren, and thirty great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM from the Cornerstone Community Church, Kresgeville. A church service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Stuart Szmaciasz officiating. Burial will follow in Dotters Corner Cemetery.
