Henry L. Sebring, 87, of Saylorsburg, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 28.
He was the loving husband of the late Kathryn E. (Hase) Sebring. They celebrated 55 years of marriage together before her passing in 2014.
Born in Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Leon Sebring and the late Malvine Bogart.
Henry was a horse trainer and managed stables at Pocono Ranch Lands in Bushkill several years. He was a very talented and knowledgeable horse trainer and his family considered him a true horse whisperer. He was also a realtor for a few years. He was a proud Korean War Marine Corps Veteran and would always spark up a conversation with anyone about the military. He was an animal lover, and always enjoyed watching his old western shows. He loved and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most of all, he was a loving and caring father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
He is survived by a son, John Sebring of OK; three daughters, Sally Harps of Stroudsburg, Blanche Dickson of Albrightsville, Thelma Hawk of Sciota; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and his beloved puppy, Buddy. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Lowell Sebring, and a daughter-in-law, Leah Sebring
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
