Obituary for James Martin Fialkowski

James Martin Fialkowski, 64, of Saylorsburg passed away on Tuesday, December 31 in his home.

He was the husband of Diana Iris Gonzalez- Fialkowski. They had observed their 32nd wedding anniversary in July.

Born on February 10, 1955 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Marion and Leona (Lankford) Fialkowski

Jim made Saylorsburg his home with his loving family for the last twenty years. He was the most resilient, loving, dependable and head strong father, sibling and friend. Jim loved a good deal and would bargain to no end. He was a Philly Phanatic and was thrilled to see the Eagles fly to the playoffs. His absence has left a void in the hearts of those who love him which can never be filled; although he will forever live on through his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by three sons, Rafael Rivera- Fialkowski, Matthew Fialkowski and Joseph Fialkowski; three brothers, Anthony Fialkowski, Michael Fialkowski and David Fialkowski; four sisters, Joan Fialkowski, Eileen Williams, Mary Bisignaro and Kathryn Fialkowski; two grandchildren, Mikayla Rivera and Julian Fialkowski and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and John Fialkowski and by a sister Barbara Fialkowski-McMillen.

Family only cremation services will take place on Friday, January 3 at 12:00 PM in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Celebration of Life Services will be announced later this year.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Institute on Disability, Temple University Fialkowski Scholarship, 411 Student Center S, 1755 N. 13th St., Philadelphia, PA 19122.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
