Obituary for James S. "Kromie" Krome Jr.

James S. "Kromie" Krome Jr., 87, of Saylorsburg, passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, at home.

He was the loving companion of his beloved lady friend, Maryann Dempsey, for over thirty years.

Born in Wind Gap, he was the son of the late James S. Krome Sr. and the late Verna (Van Buskirk) Krome.

James worked at Ingersoll Rand in Easton for over forty years. He loved shooting the breeze and teasing people. He always enjoyed going to breakfast, traveling, and the outdoors. He was a simple man, who was a loving and caring companion, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be sadly missed but loved forever by all.

In addition to his companion Maryann, he is survived by two daughters, one sister, seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one brother and one nephew.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 24, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mt. Eaton Church, Saylorsburg. Church services will follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Joseph Cain officiating. Burial will be in Mount Eaton Cemetery, Saylorsburg.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, is in charge of the arrangements.
