Obituary for James A. Ramella Jr.

James A. Ramella Jr., 56, of Blakeslee, passed away Sunday, August 1 at home.

He was the loving companion of Michelle Anne Himes for 24 years.

Born in Pequannock, NJ he was the son of James A Ramella Sr. and Vivian (Drache) Ramella.

Jim was an environmental services coordinator working in hospitals for most of his life. He worked at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pequannock, NJ for twenty five years, and Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono for ten years. He later worked for Crothall Health Care in Allentown for a few months. He was an avid New York Giants and Mets fan, and loved chili during Sunday football. He enjoyed the Godzilla franchise movies and The Three Stooges. He was a beachgoer and loved visiting Wildwood, NJ. He was someone who always helped anyone in need, putting in a good word and getting jobs for friends and colleagues. He loved cats and other animals, and always enjoyed summer, sunrises and sunsets. Most of all, he was a loving and caring companion, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.

In addition to his companion, Michelle, and his parents, he is survived by a brother, Michael Ramella; a sister, Sharon Ramella; a niece, Amanda Innamorato a nephew, Joey Innamorato, a step-niece , Jessie Innamorato and a brother-in-law, Steve Innamorato.

Memorial services will be scheduled on a later date at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2158 N. Main Ave., Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
