Obituary for James W. Speak
Mr. James Speak, 74, of Ashland PA formerly of Thurmont, Maryland went to be with Christ on Sunday July 11,2021. Born November 19, 1946, he was the son of the late Clyde Speak and Helen Barkman (Dawson). He was the beloved late husband of Brenda Speak.
James was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Thurmont. He was a graduate of Thurmont High School. Younger years James was a farm helper and later in life to his retirement he worked with J.H.G Contractors in Frederick, Maryland. Mr. Speak loved his grandchildren dearly.
Mr. Speak is survived by his daughter Kimberly Speak- Larson and husband Eric Larson of Auburn, Maine. Nine grandchildren Rachael, Katelyn, Debbie, Wesley, Leanne, Erica, Tyler, Ashlyn, and Lindsay. He will also be remember by his home health aide Anna Doris of Mahanoy Plan. PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Brenda Speak, daughter Christine Speak, and granddaughter Angel Grace Larson. Mr. Speak was also preceded by many aunts and uncles as well as cousin.
Interment will be at a later date. Arrangements are handled by the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville.
