Obituary for Jennifer Lynn Dyson

Jennifer Lynn Dyson, 38, of Jim Thorpe, passed away Thursday, January 13, in St. Luke's Hospital-Bethlehem.

She was the loving fiancé of Christopher Butler.

Born in Hoboken, NJ, she was the daughter of Edwin Perez and Ruth Elizabeth (Dyson) Stratton.

Jennifer was a CNA at various nursing homes for twenty years. She always wore her heart on her sleeve. She would go out of her way to listen to others, and help them out any way she could. She had the distinct ability to deal with her own problems by helping others. She was considered by many to be one of the most accepting people they ever met, and she loved the patients she took care of at the nursing homes. Her son was her world, and she loved spending time with children. Jennifer was an avid Tik-Tok'er, and always enjoyed her group of friends on the social media platform. Most of all, she was a loving, sweet, and caring mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

In addition to her fiancé and mother, she is survived by a son, David Richard Dyson, step-son, Orion Butler; her daddy who raised her, Thaddeus McQueen; two brothers, Eddie Perez and his wife Erica, Christopher McQueen; a sister, who she helped raise and treated her like her own daughter, Adrianne Turko and her husband Matthew; a grandmother, Mary Ragusa and her husband John; five nieces, Natalie, Arabella, Amelia, Elina, Emma; three nephews, Jorden, Tyeson, Mikey; and many aunts and uncles, especially her favorite, Nancy. She was preceded in death by a brother, Demitrus McQueen, a step-father, Joseph Stratton, and a grandfather, William Dyson.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 22 form 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kresge Funeral Home, P.O. Box 25 Brodheadsville, PA 18322.
