Obituary for John W. Davis Jr.
John W. Davis Jr., 84, of Saylorsburg, passed away on Saturday, October 23 in St. Luke's Hospital Monroe Campus.
He was the husband of the late Marion L. (Hawk) Davis.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late John W. Davis Sr. and the late Lydia (Miller) Davis.
John had worked at Supradur in Wind Gap for thirty years before retiring in 2001.
He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Gilbert and the Chestnut Ridge Senior Citizens in Kunkletown. He was an avid hunter.
John is survived by two sisters, Anna Mae and Nellie; a brother-in-law, LeRoy Hawk of Saylorsburg; a sister-in-law Fern Boyce of Tunkhannock; nieces and nephews and his companion of the past five years, Barbara Ziegenfus of Saylorsburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 29 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Darlene Blocker officiating. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
