Obituary for John Charles Galenis
John Charles Galenis, 77, of Saylorsburg, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
He was the loving husband of the late Rayma E. (Hoffner) Galenis. They celebrated 26 years of marriage together before her passing in 2005.
John was born in Brooklyn, NY. He was an iron worker for the Local 401 in Philadelphia for most of his life. He was also a former member of the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert. He was loving father, grandfather, cousin, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
He is survived by a son, Kevin Galenis of Saylorsburg; a daughter, Holly Galenis and her fiancé Willard Lobb of WV; and two grandchildren, Cody and Willard Lobb.
A celebration of life gathering will be scheduled on a later date at the convenience of the family. Interment of his cremains will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
