Obituary for John Francis Tough

John Francis Tough, 62, of Kunkletown, passed away Sunday, March 3 in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem.

He was the loving husband of Renee Ann (Falzarine) Tough. They celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary in October.

Born in Irvington, NJ, he was the son of the late John Tough and the late Jean (Cameron) Tough.

John was a computer engineer for HP Company & Digital for over thirty one years before retiring in 2017. Prior to that he worked as a Pennsylvania state park ranger. He was a former Polk Township firefighter. He served in the US coast Guard and was also a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also a master carpenter in his leisure time. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two dogs, Blackjack and Stella; a son, Ian Tough; a sister, Janette Tough; and a his very special friend for over thirty years, Jim "Quimby" Kingsman.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763, Route 209 Brodheadsville. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM with scripture readings by Robin Bank. Military honors will follow the service. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the ICU team at St. Luke's Monroe and the doctors and nurses at St. Luke's Bethlehem, especially Dr. Jahre.
