Obituary for Josephine M. Gower (Hoffman)
Josephine M. Gower, 90, of Selinsgrove and formerly of Monroe County passed away on Sunday, July 21 in Grayson View Assisted Living in Selinsgrove.
She was the wife of the late Alton Gower.
Born in Kresgeville, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Emma (Grammas) Hoffman.
Josephine had worked at Nova Sportswear in Brodheadsville for many years and later at Scotty's Fashions.
She is survived by a son, Brian Gower and his wife Cheryl of Selinsgrove; three brothers, Harold Hoffman, Richard Hoffman and Preston Hoffman; four sisters, Ella Kunkle, Margaret Kluk, Helen Serfass and Emma Hittner and two grandchildren, Brian Gower II and Megan Gower.
Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 3 at 10:00 AM from Neffs Union Cemetery with Rev. Brian Holben officiating. Cremation will have taken place in the H. G. Smith Crematory , Stroudsburg.
The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
