Obituary for Joshua Carl Petersen
Joshua Carl Petersen, 32, of Saylorsburg, passed away on Monday, February 13th, 2023 in Fort Bragg California.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of John Carl Petersen and Sherry Buskirk-Henritzy.
Joshua graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 2009. He worked as a detailer and painter in an auto body shop as well as in a bicycle shop making repairs. He loved weight lifting, benching 400 lbs and won first place in the deadlift contest at Colonial Academy. Joshua enjoyed working on his 1959 Chevy Apache Truck. He loved animals and helping anyone he could. Joshua was an advocate for the homeless community and did what he could for anyone around him. Joshua will be missed by his loving family and many loving friends.
In addition to his parents, Joshua is survived by his step-father: Howard Wolfe, Sr. of Saylorsburg; sisters, Natosha Wolfe of Saylorsburg; Emily Petersen of Bethlehem; Amber Petersen of Duncannon; and Courtney Wolfe of Saylorsburg; brothers: Howard Wolfe, Jr. of Saylorsburg; grandparents: Mary Buskirk of Walnutport; and Peggy and William Druckinmiller of Fort Mojave, AZ.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28th from 11:00 AM-12:00PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Rt 209, Brodheadsville, PA 18322. A memorial service will follow at noon with Rev. David Felker officiating.
