Obituary

Karl K. Lange, 65 of Saylorsburg, passed away Monday, September 9 in St. Luke's Hospital Monroe Campus.

Born in Dover, NJ, he was the loving son of the late Paul Lange and the late Elizabeth (Cocking) Lange.

Karl was a devoted member of Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church in Stroudsburg.

He was the co-owner/operator for Otto's Autos for 34 years. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and later graduated from the Brooklyn School of Pharmacy.

Karl was very adventurous and enjoyed nature. He was an avid fly fisherman, and loved bird watching, ice fishing, and riding snowmobiles. He was also a Master Beekeeper, and he was invited to teach beekeeping classes at various colleges along the coast. He was a fan of the NHL, and his favorite team was he New Jersey Devils (or anyone who was playing against the New York Rangers). He loved his two miniature long-haired dachshunds, Fritz and Shatzi. Most of all, he was a kind and loving Uncle. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.

He is survived by three brothers, Paul Lange and his wife Jean of Boulder, CO, Otto Lange and his wife Patricia of Saylorsburg, David Lange of West Palm Beach, FL; a sister, Wanda Lange of Annandale, NJ; four nephews, Derek Lange, Brett Lange, Erik Dickerson and his wife Rachel, Justin Lange; three nieces, Kirsten Ehmann and her husband Todd, Rachel Fraga and her husband Rey, Christie Lange; and several aunts and uncles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Karl C. Lange.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Peter Kuritz officiating. Cremation will have taken place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
