Obituary for Kieran D. Pryor

Kieran D. Pryor, 62, of Effort, passed away Friday, March 18, at home.

He was the loving husband of Diane (Palandro) Pryor. They celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary in August of last year.

Born in Parsippany, NJ, he was the son of the late Thomas Pryor and the late Mary (McNamee) Pryor.

He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert.

Kieran was the building & grounds supervisor for East Stroudsburg School District for thirty two years before retiring in 2019. He was an avid NASCAR fan and raced stock cars in Freeport, LI, NY. He loved traveling, especially to Cape Cod with his wife every summer. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James R. Walsh and his wife Victoria of Wantagh, LI, NY; three brothers, Brendan and Tegan Pryor, both of NJ, Terrence Pryor of FL; a sister, Megan Thornton and her husband Richard of Mineola, LI, NY; and three grandchildren, Kevin, Samantha, and Robert Walsh. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin and Brian Pryor.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 25 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, PA 18322. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Simon officiating. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
