Obituary for LeRoy A. Altemose Sr.
LeRoy A. Altemose, Sr. of Saylorsburg passed away on Thursday, August 17th at Northampton Post Acute, Easton at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Jeanne.
He was born in Saylorsburg to the late Harold and Pearl Altemose.
He was a graduate of Chestnuthill High School. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. He worked at Roadway Express for 23 years until retiring. Prior to that he was a Lehigh Valley milkman.
He was a life long member of Mt. Eaton Church in Saylorsburg.
He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his three children, LeRoy, Jr. and his wife Audrey, David and his wife Audrey, all of Saylorsburg, and his daughter Susan Dally and her husband John of Wind Gap. A loving grandfather to his six grandchildren, Samantha Altemose and long time companion Clint Doll, Kyle Altemose and girlfriend Kiara Ortiz, Ashley Altemose and fiance' Joe Shevlin, Katie Altemose and boyfriend Jordan McGrath, Dr. John Dally and his wife Andrea, and Anthony Dally. A loving great grandfather to John Dally, IV, and nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his brother Clair Altemose. He was preceded in death by Forrest Altemose.
Viewing will be held at Kresge Funeral Home,1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville at 11:00 am. on Wednesday, August 23rd. Service to follow at 12:00. Burial will be private.
