LeRoy J. Raseley, 89, of Saylorsburg, passed away Sunday, October 20 in his home.
He was the loving husband of the late Carolyn L. (Miller) Raseley. They celebrated 50 years of marriage together before her passing in 2009.
Born in Saylorsburg, he was the son of the late Willard Raseley and the late Sadie (Kostenbader) Raseley.
LeRoy was a draftsman for most of his life. He began working for Echo Layer in Easton, and later worked for Ingersoll-Rand in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran. He was a former President of the West End Little League Association, and was also an active and local historian of the Saylorsburg/Ross Township region in Pennsylvania. LeRoy will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.
He is survived by two sons, Jon Raseley and his wife Deborah of Saylorsburg, William Raseley and his wife Michelle of Saylorsburg; a sister, Marcia Schiavone and her husband Leonard of Pen Argyl; seven grandchildren, Travis and Adam Raseley, Andrew and Kaitlin Raseley, and Mark, Matthew, and Jeremy Davies. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert Davies.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Felker officiating.
