Obituary for Lila Mae Tallada (Ladlee)

Lila Mae Tallada, 85, of Wind Gap, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.

She was the loving wife of the late Clair Tallada Sr. They celebrated over 50 years of marriage together before his passing in 2008.

Born in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Foster Ladlee Sr. and the late Viva (Fish) Ladlee.

Lila was a cook and baker at Snydersville Diner for over thirty years. She later worked at Mr. Z's for ten years. She was also a member of the Birthday Club. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and Facebook, and was an avid New York Giants and Mets fan. Most of all, she was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was loved by so many, and she will be deeply missed by all of her friends and family.

She is survived by four daughters, Cheryl Mumbauer and her husband Dave of Delaware Water Gap, Kathy McGarvey and her husband Dennis of Saylorsburg, Sharon Smith and her husband Chris of Kunkletown, Janet Tallada of Wind Gap; two brothers, Foster Ladlee Jr. of East Stroudsburg, Richard Ladlee of Florida; eight grandchildren, including Rodney (wife Michelle), who she raised as a son; and sixteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Clair Tallada Jr., a grandson, Justin Keiper, and two sisters, Janet Hendricks and Judy Whitmore.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Family and friends are welcome to share memories of Lila starting at 1:00 PM.
