Obituary for Lillian M. Beers (Faulstick)
Lillian Mae Beers, 91, of Saylorsburg, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
She was the loving wife of the late Howard A. Beers Sr. They celebrated many years of marriage together before his passing in 1996.
Born in Saylorsburg, she was the daughter of the late William Faulstick and the late Gertie (Remel) Faulstick.
She was a lifetime member of Mount Eaton Church as well as a member of the Pollyannas Women's Group.
Lillian was a seamstress at several garment mills for many years. She was an avid quilter who would make beautiful quilts as gifts for family and friends. She also used her talent of quilting to help raise money to send children to Bowman Park Church Camp in Bowmanstown, PA. Her greatest joy was preparing weekly family meals, which included her tasty homemade applesauce, donuts, cookies, sticky buns, cakes and pies.
She is survived by a son, Howard A. Beers Jr.; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Henshue and her husband Todd; four grandchildren, Lauri, Alissa, Matthew, Danielle; and five great grandchildren, Cassidi, Luca, Clark, Wesley, and Sadie. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her nine siblings.
Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family.
