Obituary for Linda Joyce Beers (Haupt)
Linda Joyce Beers, 73, of Kunkletown, passed away Saturday, January 30 in Brookmont Healthcare Center, Effort.
Born in Lehighton, she was the loving daughter of the late Junior Norman Haupt and the late Meta Mae (Schoeneberger) Haupt.
Linda graduated from Palmerton High School, and later attended Empire Beauty School where she would receive an Associate's Degree and beautician license. She worked as a beautician, a real estate agent, and a sales representative for AVON for over thirty years.
Linda was a member of the Western Pocono Lioness Club and the Western Pocono Women's Club. She also dedicated her time as a volunteer for Middlecreek Christian Church, where she would help with dinners and certain projects that needed to be done. She took great care of her beautiful flower beds and loved gardening. She was a sweet, kind, and generous person who would always help someone in need. Most of all, she was a loving and caring mom, nana, sister, and aunt. She will be deeply missed by all of her friends and family.
She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Baldwin and her husband Michael of Kunkletown; two brothers, John Haupt and his wife MaryAnn of Lehighton, Dale Haupt and his wife Kim of Ephrata; three sisters, Donna Raby of Walnutport, Cheryl Henning of Lehighton, Tina Getz and her husband Lawrence of Kunkletown; a granddaughter, Bethany Grace Baldwin; a step grandson, Chad Baldwin of Colorado; a step granddaughter, Bailey Baldwin of Arizona; a sister-in-law, Shirley Haupt of Lehighton; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Junior Haupt.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 5 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM from the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Mahoning.
