Obituary for Lorraine M. Eastman (Beyer)
Lorraine M. Eastman, 87, of Effort, passed away Saturday, December 31, in St. Luke's Hospital - Monroe Campus.
She was the loving wife of Michael Eastman. They celebrated 48 wonderful years of marriage together before his passing in 2004.
Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Christian Beyer and the late Francis (Hoeffler) Beyer.
Lorraine was a loving homemaker for most of her life. She was an avid artist, enjoyed crafts, and loved shopping. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Most of all, she was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Miedreich and her husband John; two sons, Cliff Eastman and his wife Lisa, Chris Eastman and his wife Heather; eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Eastman, a grandchild, Suzanne Eastman, a brother, Christian Beyer, and a daughter-in-law, Marrianne Eastman.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 5 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. David Felker officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Effort.
