Obituary for Louis G. Berwick

Louis G. Berwick, 89, of Saylorsburg passed away on March 19 in his home surrounded by his family.

He was the beloved husband of June (Paynter) Berwick. They had celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary in September.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late George and Verna (Young) Berwick.

Louis was a US Army veteran and worked at the Tobyhanna Army Depot for thirty five years as an electronics engineer. He loved to spend time with his family and he enjoyed dancing, travel, the casinos, listening to music, watching NASCAR, games and dining out.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Matthew Berwick and his wife Tina of Saylorsburg; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Taylour, Timmy, Joshua, Andrew and Shawn; five great grandchildren, Ayden, Bella, Maxwell, Thatcher and Luke; sisters, Gloria, Nancy and Linda and by his brother Bob.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 24 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Hospice Chaplain Nathan King officiating. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Cremation will follow the service in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
