Mary Elizabeth (Rainville) Heil, 86, of Nazareth, passed away on Sunday, March 13 in Gracedale in Nazareth.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Heil.
Born in Binghamton, NY she was a daughter of the late Wilford Joseph Rainville and the late Agnes Violet (Scott) Rainville Estelle.
Mary was employed by Bendix Aviation in Montrose for thirty six years. She lived in the Montrose area for most of her life, moving to the Poconos in 2004 where she made many friends and enjoyed being part of the Women's Club at Country Club of the Poconos. In 2015 she moved into a Senior Living facility in Bethlehem where she again made many friends and enjoyed participating in many activities.
Mary loved spending time with her family and friends and socializing with everyone. She loved to travel. She and her husband Joe travelled to nearly all fifty states, including Alaska and Hawaii. She also travelled to Holland, England, Scotland,Paris and Canada. She loved to golf, read, play cards and games, make ceramics and watch tennis and the Phillies.
Mary is survived by three children, Daughter Susan Barber Mansur and her husband Joseph Mansur in MA; Son Scott Barber and his wife Trudi Possinger Barber of Nazareth and Daughter, Malana Freeman Nall and her husband Stephen in TX; six grandchildren, Hilary Mansur Donahue, Ethan Mansur,Leandra Mansur, Crystal Nedlik, Jillian Batrber and Boone Barber and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Barber Nedlik, a son, Wayne Barber Jr., a granddaughter Ashley Nedlik and a brother, Richard W. Rainville.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Mary will be interred in Brookdale Cemetery in Montrose.
The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
