Obituary for Michelle Yvonne Gussett (Palermo)
Michelle Yvonne Gussett, 47, of Kunkletown, passed away Friday, January 4 at home surrounded by her family.
She was the loving wife of the late Michael Gussett. They celebrated five years of marriage together before Michael's passing in 2016.
Born in Easton, she was the daughter of Anthony Oscar Palermo and Marlette Mae (Borger) Palermo.
Michelle was a loan officer in the banking industry for many years. She was a loving, fun, and happy person and enjoyed spending her time with all of her children and grandchildren. She was very smart and creative, and was a very talented drawer. She also spent a lot of time traveling the world with her parents growing up and went to many different schools throughout her childhood. She will be deeply missed by all of her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three children, Karrie and Kaila Palermo, Jeremy Smith, all of Kunkletown; a brother, Anthony Palermo and his wife Stacey of Arlington, TX; five grandchildren, Stanley, Cameron, Arianna, Brandon, and J.J.; a grandmother, Mae Borger; an aunt, Dora Tartar; and her godparents, Leo and Ellen Palermo.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 9 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763, Route 209, Brodheadsville. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Suzanne Brooks-Cope officiating.
