Obituary for Michelle C. Younger
Michelle C. Younger, 56, of Saylorsburg, passed away on August 23, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital- Monroe.
Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of George Reppert, Jr. and Ruthann (Bacon) Hawk.
Michelle loved her children and was a community mom to any of her children's friends or kids needing advice, a place to live, or someone to go to when in need. Michelle enjoyed teaching and helping students learn new computer programs until she devoted the rest of her time to wearing many hats at Stroudsmoor Country Inn.
In addition to her parents, Michelle is survived by her son: Joshua Shutt of Bath; daughters: Dawn Shutt and her husband, Michael Ruiz of St. Cloud, FL; Jessica Shutt of Saylorsburg; and Heather Shutt of Palmerton; brother, Mark Hawk and his wife, Chris of Lansford; and sister, Melody Ruhf of Arizona; grandchildren: Yessenia Ruiz, Bianca Ruiz and Michael Ruiz, Jr. Jordyn Singhas, Chelsea Shutt, Cassius Kauffmann; Thomas Woodring, and Wren Woodring; and a boyfriend: James Treible.
Michelle is preceded in death by her granddaughter Dominique Ruiz.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at the William H. Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Rt. 209, Brodheadsville, PA 18322. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Chaplain Jason K. Vanderburg officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
