Obituary for Mitchell W. Kreger

Mitchell W. Kreger, 90, of Kunkletown, passed away Saturday, March 5 in Getz Personal Care Home, Kunkletown.

He was the loving husband of Dorothea E. (Haydt) Kreger. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in July of last year.

Born in Kresgeville, he was the son of the late Mitchell J. "Sam" Kreger and the late Edith (Getz) Kreger.

He was a member of Jerusalem UCC in Trachsville.

Mitchell worked at M.F. Weiss Plumbing & Heating in Brodheadsville for most of his life. He was a Korean Conflict US Navy Veteran. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Kresge and her companion Mark Neff of Stroudsburg, Melissa Daycock and her husband David of Boise, ID; a sister, MerylAnn DePue of Kresgeville; four grandchildren, Karey, Ryan, Abigail, Isabelle; and three great grandchildren, Matthew, Johnny, and Noah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Lance Leslie Kreger, Dean David Kreger, and a sister, Norma Pudleiner.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Donald Quayle officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will follow in Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Trachsville.
