Obituary for Nancy Jeanne Rounsaville (Smith)

Nancy Jeanne Rounsaville of Saylorsburg and formerly of Forks Township died unexpectedly Christmas Eve in her home in Ross Township.
She was the wife of James David Rounsaville. They celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on May 5 of this year.
Nancy was born November 10,1941 in Calcutta, India. Her parents, Allan and “Betty” Mary Elizabeth (Cole) Smith were missionaries serving in Calcutta, India.
Nancy was employed by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for some 26 years before retiring early in 1996.
In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her sister-in-law Josephine (Rossi) Smith, four nephews and three nieces. She was preceded in death by brother James, sister-in-law Shirley (Correll) Smith, brother Gilbert and her son Bobby, Jr.
Formerly a member of The Fellowship Church of Phillipsburg, NJ, Nancy was more recently a member of Slate Belt Church in Plainfield Township, Monroe County.
Nancy loved spending time with her family and friends. She was fond of kittens and trips to the seashore.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 2,2024 at Slate Belt Church, 1620 Church Rd., Pen Argyl, PA 18072 with Pastor Steve Rebert officiating. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM and will continue until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Christmas Blessing, Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
