Obituary for Pamela Ann LaBar

Pamela Ann LaBar, 42, of Effort, passed away Wednesday, November 3 in Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospice House, East Stroudsburg.

Born in East Stroudsburg, she was the loving daughter of LeRoy C. LaBar Jr and his companion Barbara Frantz, and Karen (Mosteller) Neyhart and her husband James Neyhart.

Pamela was a graduate of Stroudsburg High School. She loved the Special Olympics and participated in numerous events. Especially bowling, coming in 1st place during one of her competitions. When she was younger, she enjoyed swimming, and also worked for a few years at the Burnley Workshop. She always enjoyed her time at the Fitzmaurice Community Service Group Home, spending time with her friends and caretakers. She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, LeRoy C. LaBar III and his wife Suzanne of Stroudsburg; a sister, Sonja NavasYFrank of Mechanicsburg; three nephews, LeRoy C. LaBar IV, Chase LaBar, Shane Swanson; a niece, Ava Swanson; Jodi Swanson, who was like a sister to her, and her husband Stephan; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and all of her friends and caretakers at Fitzmaurice Group Home. She was preceded in death by a brother, Steve W. Neyhart, and a sister, Petra NavasYFrank.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial of her cremated remains will follow in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
