Ramon Mercado, 90, of Effort, died Tuesday, March 22 in the Brookmont Health Care Center.

He was born in Puerto Rico.

He had worked as a welder in NYC.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by a daughter Nelly Mercado of Stroudsburg and by a son, Israel Mercado of Washington DC.

Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
