Robert E. Otto, 88, of Stroudsburg, passed away Monday, March 8 in St. Luke's Hospital - Monroe Campus.
He was the loving husband of Lois (Derr) Otto. They were married on Christmas day in 1972 and spent 48 wonderful years together.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Earl Otto and the late Mabel (Deibert) Otto.
He was a member of McMichaels United Methodist Church.
Robert worked at Altemoses Hardware Store and Argot's Hardware Store for many years. Prior to that, he worked as a machinist in the Lancaster Area and also owned and operated a machine shop. He was truly loved in his community, and dedicated his time in lay ministry where he would visit sick patients at local nursing homes in the area. He was a great story teller, and had a charming sense of humor. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cindy Otto of Stroudsburg, a grandchild, Jean Musselman, and a great grandchild, Corey Musselman. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, John Otto, Robert Otto, and a daughter, Corrine Otto.
Memorial services will be scheduled on a later date at the convenience of the family.
