Obituary for Robert Thomas "Bob" Rundle

Robert Thomas Rundle, better known as Bob or RT 70, of Saylorsburg, passed away on Thursday, November 11 peacefully in his home.

He was the husband of Terry (Hughes) Rundle. They had celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary in August.

Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Herbert Rundle and Betty (Getz) Hertkorn..

He had worked as a highway escort for Transamerica for twenty five years before retiring in 2016. Prior to that, he was a foundry worker at Victaulic and Banner Metals.

An avid outdoorsman, nature lover and life-long hunter, Bob was a proud member of the NRA. In his earlier years he enjoyed riding his Harley.

Bob was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Jacobsburg Historical Society.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two loving daughters, Lindsay Dale and her husband Matthew of Atlanta, GA and Vanessa Rundle and his son-in-law, Erik Hartley of Kunkletown.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 17 at 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Cremation will have taken place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
