Obituary for Shirley M. Kleintop (Silfies)

Shirley M. Kleintop, 93, of Saylorsburg, passed away Sunday, August 8 in Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home, Kunkletown.

She was the loving wife of the late Allen A. Kleintop Sr. They celebrated 58 years of marriage together before his passing in 2001.

Born in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Irene Silfies.

She was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Kunkletown.

Shirley loved playing cards. She was always there to help her family whenever they were in need. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most of all, she was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all of her friends and family.

She is survived by a son, Keith Kleintop of Stuart, FL; a sister, Kay Lawler of Saylorsburg; four grandchildren, Mark Neeb, Beth Beers, Allison Kleintop and her husband Ron Palermo, Jason Kleintop and his wife Emily; six great grandchildren, Zak, Leah, Evan, Aiden, Hadley, Callan; a daughter-in-law, Sue Shoemaker; and a son-in-law, Larry Neeb. In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Neeb, and a son, Allen A. Kleintop Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 16 at 2:00 PM in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Kunkletown with Rev. Suzanne Brooks-Cope officiating.
