Obituary for Stanley L. Cheslock

Stanley L. Cheslock, 84, of Stroudsburg, passed away Monday, February 28 in Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown.

He was the loving husband of Ruth E. (Wuesthoff) Cheslock. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in December of last year.

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Stanley J. Cheslock and the late Leona (Majchrowicz) Cheslock.

Stanley graduated from Penn State University in 1958. He then went on to play Minor League Baseball for a few years. Afterwards, he worked as a cruise director sailing the world for Holland America Cruise line for several years. He later went on to work as a regional sales manager for Yamaha Motors.. During retirement, he was a real estate appraiser for a few years. He was a US Army Veteran. Stanley was also a die-hard Penn State University sports fan. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sandi Kaspszyk of Kunkletown; a brother, Honorable Jerome P. Cheslock and his wife Pat of Stroudsburg; three grandchildren, Abigail and her fiancé Danny Hrbek, Andrew, and Kyle Kaspszyk; and a nephew Jonathan Cheslock.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM with Patrick McCormick officiating. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
