Obituary for Steven Bozikis
Steven Bozikis, 70, of Brodheadsville, passed away Monday, March 14 at home.
He was the loving fiance of Jean A. Miller. They enjoyed 9 wonderful years together.
Born in Corfu, Greece, he was the son of the late Kostas Bozikis and the late Theodora (Vidoulati) Bozikis.
Steven moved to the US the year his beloved New York Mets won the World Series. He was a long-time resident of Hudson County, NJ, before moving to PA. He was a chemical operator at Pfister Chemicals in Richfield, NJ, for several years. He then worked in in research and development at RJR Nabisco in Fairlawn, NJ, for many years. Later on, he worked as a senior chemical operator at Sanofi Aventis in Bridgewater, NJ. He was a die-hard New York Mets fan and also enjoyed watching the Olympiacos F.C. in Greece. He enjoyed playing soccer when he younger. He loved his pets, Emma, and Gracie. Most of all, he was a loving and caring fiance, father, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
In addition to his fiance, Jean, he is survived by a son, Steven P. Bozikis of Moorseville, NC; two daughters, Kathy Bozikis and Tracy Bozikis, both of Hackettsown, NJ; five grandchildren, Dimitri, Elijah, Christian, Chloe, Sophia; a sister-in-law, Nikki Bozikis; a brother-in-law, Spiros Kourkoulos; Cathi Miller, who he considered his daughter, and her wife Christine; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Madeline (Iasiello) Bozikis, a brother, Thanassis Bozikis, and a sister-in-law, Katie Kourkoulos.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 18 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, Funeral services will follow at 7:30 PM with Rev. Ann Melot officiating. Cremation will follow in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
