Sylvia R. Sonin, 84 of Philadelphia passed away on Wednesday July 13, 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Sonin Larsen, and her sister Janice Showler, many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

Sylvia was passionate about life, music, playing classical and jazz guitar, researching and staying informed, committed to making her voice heard by voting, yet she loved sewing, gardening, and doing her part to care for Mother Nature’s creatures that took refuge at her home in Philadelphia. She also volunteered at the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia for her lifelong friend, Fred Simeone. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends
