Obituary

Timothy P. Haas, 64, of Saylorsburg, passed away Friday, July 12 in St. Luke's Hospital Monroe Campus.

He was the loving husband of Valerie (Riedmiller) Haas. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in December.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Victor P. Haas and the late Minnie (Brown) Haas.

Timothy was a chef for most of his life. He worked in the family restaurant, Riedmillers Restaurant, and later worked for the East Stroudsburg University Food Service, all spanning 25 years. He was an avid Los Angeles Rams and New York Mets fan. He also enjoyed fishing with his buddy, Bob. Most of all, he loved hanging out with his grandchildren, who they referred to him as "Pops". He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Stefanie Cruz and her husband Eric of Saylorsburg; two brothers, Bruce Haas and his wife Diane of Coopersburg, PA, Kevin Wolford and his wife Linda of Akron, PA; a brother-in-law, Robert C. Riedmiller III and his wife Linda of Stroudsburg; a sister-in-law, Linda Zelner of Egypt, PA; and two grandsons, Dominic and Anthony. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Victor P. Haas, and a brother, Keith A. Haas.

A celebration of life will be scheduled on a later date at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSAA (Multiple Sclerosis Association of America) 375 Kings Highway, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
