Obituary for Unetta B. Hildabrant (Bonser)

Unetta B. Hildabrant, 88, of Nesquehoning, formerly of Saylorsburg, passed away Thursday, June 6 in Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning.

She was the loving wife of the late William Hildabrant. They celebrated 45 years of marriage together before William's passing.

Born in Saylorsburg, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Bonser and the late Catharine (Setzer) Bonser.

She was a member of Mount Eaton Church, Saylorsburg.

Unetta was a graduate of Chestnuthill High School. She then attended the School of Cosmetology and later started her own business at home. She owned and operated Unetta's Beauty Shop for fifty one years before retiring in 2011. Prior to that, she worked for Sherwin Manufacturing Curtain Factory in Stroudsburg. She was a member of the Saylorsburg Playground Association, the Quilters Guild, and the Ross Township Historical Association. She was also a member of the Blue Ridge Hook & Ladder Auxiliary, and a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Mt. Eaton Church, formerly known as Pollyannas. Unetta will be missed by all of her friends and family.

She is survived by a son, Brad Hildabrant and his wife Kay of Sciota; two daughters, Lynn Hennet and her husband Thomas of Stroudsburg, Stacy Hildabrant of Saylorsburg; a brother, Rudy Bonser and his wife Valerie of Ennis, MT; three sisters, Sally Borland of Largo, FL, Cathann Hummer and her husband George of Saylorsburg, Nina DeLorenzo and her husband Art of Havelock, NC; six grandchildren, Daniel Smith, Stephanie Hennet, Jessica Hennet, Thomas Hennet Jr., Michelle Bryant, John Jakobsen; and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorraine Kern, Dora Fenner, and two brothers, Bill Bonser and Bob Bonser.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 12 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM from the Mount Eaton Church, Saylorsburg. A memorial church service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Douglas Hayes officiating. Burial of the ashes will be scheduled on a later date at the convenience of the family in Lakeview Cemetery, Saylorsburg. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
